Bring the children and join us for a walk from the Sun all the way to Pluto. Only then can you even start to grasp the scale and distances in our solar system and beyond.
Start: At the Sun at LBF Reception, or anywhere along the walk.
Finish: At the Observatory. (Maybe the astronomers are there to show you the sun through their special Solar telescope.)
When: Any time, just confirm with Reception for gate access.
Guided Tours: Some Saturday mornings on Observatory weekends. Confirm with reception for dates and times.
Duration: The total distance from the Sun to Pluto in 1.3 km. (It is actually almost 6 billion km.) It should take about 30 to 60 minutes to walk. (It can also be driven, or explored by mountain bike.)
